At its creation in 2012, KSI GENEVA decided to look for , and buy a place suited for serving the needs of the community to be able to make progress.
After visiting several potential centres and launching an appeal for donations, we have now found a 500m2 hall that will cater to the future of our community.
The Muslim community has always been generous in undertaking good deeds and today, we appeal for your contributions in order to help the community prosper with the help of KSI GENEVA
The current center, consisting of old offces with an area of 130m2. With a growing community, it has become too small for our needs. It does not have the capacity required to be able to allow the participation of the full community and is thus a hindrance in the achievement of the following goals of KSI Geneva:
We have had more than 30 students (ages 5 to 18 years), divided in groups, sharing the same rooms without tables and chairs. Classes are thus not conducted under suitable conditions and the addition of new students is diffcult.
The lack of space also prevents us from celebrating Islamic events in an appropriate manner. The Lack of equipment (bathroom, kitchen, room etc) does not allow us to provide accommodation to potential guests such as “Alims”, lecturers etc.
The Library (the base of knowledge and culture) is a priority as there are many books in several languages but we are unable to present them in an appropriate and visible fashion.
The need for a new Centre was approved by our community as the most effective solution to overcome the lack of space and current capacity constraints; and to respond to all our challenges (school, activities for youngsters, celebrations etc) for the coming years.
Located in the entrance to the city Nyon near A1 motorway, providing an ideal location and a quiet environment.
The hall has a surface of 400m2.
The premises has a beautiful natural luminosity and the size needed to sustain our community for years to come.
